Austin 2030 chose postsecondary as a pilot focus area for testing collective action. Austin’s postsecondary and completion rates are among the lowest in the state.

There is strong momentum across our city to explore a college promise for Austin, and existing state funding levers (HB 3 and HB 8) will provide critical financial resources and incentives for this work. Postsecondary also provides Austin 2030 the opportunity to align stakeholders from across PreK-12, Higher Education, and workforce.
